I’m Snooz, a Korean-American tattoo artist proudly waving the rainbow flag as a member of the LGBTQ+ community. Art has always been my sanctuary, expression, and passion.

Growing up, I found solace in drawing especially with ink and charcoal. Although, it wasn’t just about putting lines on paper; it was about creating something meaningful that resonated with me. I vividly remember stumbling upon Justin Bieber’s tattoos as a kid, and it sparked an infatuation with the tattoo industry. It sounds so cheesy, but why not let the world know that I was once a Belieber?

I'd often find myself doodling on my arm with pen and dreaming of the day of getting my own ink from then on. The love for tattoos only deepened over time which fueled my desire to become a tattoo artist. There’s something incredibly profound about the art of tattooing: transforming people’s skin into beautiful canvases and weaving stories, memories, and emotions in every stroke.

At times when I’m not wielding a tattoo machine, I’ll definitely be snoozing. I’ll sleep for days on end. In my waking hours, I love indulging on electronic dance music and movies. They’re such a great escape from reality. As much as I adore raving and cinematic masterpieces, I’m equally drawn to the great outdoors. Nature is where I find peace and inspiration: camping under the stars, backpacking through rugged trails, and simply taking walks. I mean it when I say that photosynthesizing has changed my life.

The best thing of all is spending time with people who make my heart full of love. It’s beautiful to share moments, laughter, and deep conversations that stick for more than a lifetime. Although, I find it most comforting to be silent with people. I can truly enjoy their presence without feeling pressured to talk. I thrive on experiences that create meaningful bonds with others.
